Try Syndesis Corp. Makers of Interchange Plus. They have a conversion
program that handels most formats for the Amiga, and soon the PC. Some SGI
3D programs can output WaveFront format models, Check and see if they can
supply you with a wavefront object, LightWave can load that directly. If not
give Syndesis a call, they may other options for you.
